Memory 09

Encounter with Yeine in the bathroom. (ref: HTK 223) trivial positive

Description:

I-I just really need to quote this whole thing. It's short. Sorry. Yeine sleeps with a guy (not Nahadoth) and is unsatisfied afterward, and ends up calling on Naha in the bathroom while drawing a bath.

I turned away from the mirror—and as I did the glowing walls went dark.

"What—" I began, and a mouth settled over mine.

Even if logic hadn't told me who it was, that kiss would have. There was no taste to it, only wetness and strength, and a hungry, agile tongue that slid around mine like a snake. His mouth was cooler than Tvril's had been. But a different kind of heat coiled through me in response, and when hands began to explore my body I could not help arching up to meet them. I breathed harder as the mouth finally relinquished mine and moved down my neck.

I knew I should have stopped him. I knew this was his favorite way to kill. But when unseen ropes lifted me and pinned me to the wall, and fingers slipped between my thighs to play a subtle music, thinking became impossible. That mouth, his mouth, was everywhere. He must have had a dozen of them. Every time I moaned or cried out, he kissed me, drinking down the sound like wine. When I could restrain myself his face pressed into my hair; his breath was light and quick in my ear. I tried to reach up, I think to embrace him, but nothing was there. Then his fingers did something new and I was screaming, screaming at the top of my lungs, except that he had covered my mouth again and there was no sound, no light, no movement; he had swallowed it all. There was nothing but pleasure, and it seemed to go on for an eternity. If he had killed me right then and there, I would have died happy.

And then it was gone.

I opened my eyes.

I sat slumped on the bathroom floor. My limbs felt weak, shaky. The walls were glowing again. Steaming water filled the tub beside me to the brim; the taps were closed. I was alone.

Yes, that totally happened. The author has said in her blog that this scene was meant to illustrate that Naha has some fuzzy ideas about consent and that he could make someone enjoy things that they rationally shouldn't and couldn't really consent to. This makes some sense in context considering that one of the ways he slips the leash and kills the Arameri is by getting them to have sex with them and relinquish control to him. Generally, this ends with them in a messy smear.

But Naha likes Yeine. Or... something.

This scene suffers (from my POV) from even less insight into what's going on in Naha's mind than most, but... it's my job to come up with some headcanon. I think the important things to take away from this is that Naha is both very aware of how dangerous his sexuality is and how corrupted experience with the Arameri has made it, and at the same time there's the sense of the part of himself that revels in pleasure and making someone lose control like that. I do think his attraction to Yeine is such even at this point that there's sooooome stirrings of his old self.

Notes:
-...Probably a good thing this isn't a sharable memory.
-Recovering more of the screwed up Sky sexuality, though without the experience that brought it on so it's probably a little hollow; it's less the actual state he was in there, and more the awareness of sex as a viable weapon.
-TOTALLY DID GET A MEMORY OF MOLESTING A GIRL IN HER BATHROOM.
-This is a positive memory, particularly by comparison to what else was going... despite... these things I'm saying. '-'
-O rite I am totally not above quasi-tentacle sex. So there's that.
