Cosmic sex with Yeine. (ref: HTK 311-320)
Description: I can't even with this scene. I really can't. I am half tempted to just post the entire thing and be like. WELP! That sure is a thing that happened. I love this scene. I really do. And I think it shows certain important character developments. But gosh, it's so silly.
So. You know what, let me sum up:
Naha wakes up in Yeine's room at sunset, and he's kind of insane because it's sunset, and it's Sky, and Naha's often pretty crazy, so w/e w/e. Yeine's like, oh, you're crazy now. It's cool, I can wait. And Naha gets his shit together so they can actually talk. But Yeine doesn't want to talk, no, Yeine wants dangersex dangersex, so there is some talking, but first there's stripping. Talking is clearly facilitated by toplessness.
Anyway, so Yeine is like, hey, remember how I asked if you'd kill me? Would you?
And Naha is like, sure thing, I respect a woman who'd give the finger to her family by committing suicide. Have I mentioned that I'm both sexy and insane?
And Yeine is like, yup, totes noticed that, and that's cool 'cause that's apparently kinda my kink. We have a word for it in my language and everything.
And Naha is like, so did you want to die then?
And Yeine is like, well, no. Don't get me wrong, I totally would suicide to piss off my controlling family, but I'd way rather dangersex.
And Naha is like, yeah, that's pretty much the same thing as suicide.
And Yeine is like, but you slept with bunches of mortals back before everything went to hell. There were orgies and shit and nearly everyone lived to brag about it in the morning.
And Naha is like, yes, but that was before my brother ruined everything because he's a dickface. Now I kill people when I fuck'em. It's a thing.
And Yeine is like, but you still do feels and you really want to have feelssex with me because FEELS.
And Naha is like, yes, it's true that I often lots of feels, but I'm crazy and dangerous and sexy, and having sex with me is crazy and dangerous and sexy, and if I don't remind you that I'm dangerous and crazy then it will just be sex and stuff!
So Yeine is all... 'kay.
And Naha is like, so right, we'll do the feelssex, but you have to tell me to do it, because it's a thing.
And Yeine is like, to hell with that, do whatever you want.
And it turns out that what Naha wants to do is bone her, and bone her he does. And it's like hands, hands everywhere. And hair. And mouths. And there might be a penis, but it might not be a penis. But everything is dark, so it's tasteful and not like tentacle hentai or anything, unless you think about it too hard. And there's sexing and it's dark and dangerous and sexy (unsure?), and then the ceiling opens up and they're racing through space and all sorts of crazy things, and there's the maelstrom, because Naha likes Yeine enough to introduce her to Mom or something. Cosmic!
And then they fall back to earth and totally break the bed. Yeine passes out. It was awesome.
And that's what happened.
...I exaggerate for comic effect only slightly.
Notes:
-Despite my loving description, this is actually a pretty important scene. I think it drives home the fact that Naha's sexuality in Sky is broken and unhealthy for him as well as others because sex is an important part of how Naha connects with people.
-It's also an important memory because while it's far from fixing Naha, it is a step toward rehabilitation. Naha is able to have sex with Yeine without killing her. All damage done is pretty much the standard type that comes with mortals sleeping with gods.
-Sex aside, it's also an important moment in terms of showing a side of himself which hasn't been safe to express in Sky.
-It is truly amazing how many of Naha's positive memories are of sex or are sexual.
-In terms of Aather effects, this is a memory which brings more of Sky's broken sexuality but also some hope for having actual healthy sex, and while Naha certainly hasn't forgotten hir sexuality in Aather, taking this will probably, probably, probably be another nudge in the direction of seeking out lovers, provided I don't fail at playing that part out.
-On the level of safety for mortal viewers... well, Yeine blocks out the experience until later events bring it back out, and while it's not necessarily insanity inducing in and of itself, I'll say it would be very,very challenging for a mortal mind to wrap around. Probably a lot of it would just be blocked out.
